Description
As the world heat pump market continues to grow, there is an increasing need for more sustainable and environmentally friendly options. One option is a carbon dioxide heat pump, which uses carbon dioxide (CO2) as the refrigerant. Carbon dioxide is non-toxic and non-flammable and does not contribute to ozone depletion or global warming. Additionally, it has good thermophysical properties, making it an attractive alternative to HFCs in residential and commercial heat pumps.
Working principle
A CO2 heat pump water heater is a two-part system consisting of a water tank and a heat pump unit. A heat pump works like a reverse air conditioner, absorbing heat energy from the atmosphere and applying it to the water in a tank.
Features:
1. 5 times more efficient than traditional electric water heaters
2. Allow the use of off-peak electricity
3. The first hour rating is higher than that of all heat pump water heaters
4. Recovery speed is faster after extracting hot water
5. Hot water production down to -20°F and below
6. Delivers hot water up to 150°F
