Description
Extremely efficient small diverter in cold climates
Even on the coldest days, the air still contains some heat, and with Leomon's cold-weather mini-split heat pump technology, that heat is captured in the cold air by circulating refrigerant. To ensure that this process works properly in cold climates, Leomon developed an advanced technology called a flash injection circuit.
This is a significant technological advancement for home heating solutions as our harsh winters require reliable heating systems. A flash injection loop allows cold climate areas like ours to take full advantage of a mini-split heat pump using outdoor air for heating year-round.
Unique heating technology that achieves high energy efficiency even in very cold areas.
Even the coldest air contains heat
Cold climate comfort
Heat transfers from hotter objects to cooler objects, so if an object outside is cooler than the air, even if it's below zero, that object will absorb heat from the outside air. Designed specifically for cold climates, the Leomon mini-split heat pump takes advantage of this basic principle.
Bring heat
The refrigerant inside the mini-split heat pump allows the system to extract heat from the outside air. By compressing or expanding refrigerant, heat pumps can significantly cool and heat the air, respectively.
When the refrigerant expands, making it cooler than the outside air, heat from the air is transferred to the refrigerant. The refrigerant is then compressed and becomes hotter than the indoor air. Hot air is distributed into the room through internal cassette or mini-split ducts. By repeating this cycle, the mini-split heat pump will effectively heat the building.
Heating performance in cold climates
Reliable, efficient heating is needed during the harsh winter months. The heating performance of a standard heat pump decreases as the temperature decreases due to reduced refrigerant flow.
Leomon solved this problem by developing a flash injection circuit. This mini-split heat pump advancement increases the amount of refrigerant flow by using a two-cycle system.
Save the rest
Heat pumps are quickly becoming popular in our area! This is not just because of their incredible efficiency, but also because of the way they generate heat. By capturing and amplifying heat from the outdoor air, heating spaces in cold climates eliminates the need to burn fuel, reducing a home's environmental impact.
