Description
Inverter
heat pump
Air
source heat pumps (air/water) can heat or cool living spaces, and optionally
heat water for everyday use (showers, dishes, etc.). The Inverter range is
designed for small apartments and passive houses that require greater
efficiency at a smaller output.
The
Inverter heat pump system produces heating, cooling and optional domestic hot
water and is designed for small apartments or passive houses with low output
heating needs. With a scalable heating range between 1kW (min) and 5kW (max),
this solution is ideal for apartments up to 100m² or passive houses up to
250m².
Incredible
efficiency and savings
Installing
an air source heat pump is one of the best ways to save money and can yield
amazing returns for home and building owners. For every 1kWh of energy
consumed, a heat pump can generate up to 5kWh of thermal energy. Our heat pumps
typically pay for themselves within 3.5 years or less if you receive a
government subsidy or system grant. Our range of Air Source Inverter heat pumps
is strictly limited to indoor units compatible with outdoor units and provides
both heating and cooling.
Why
choose Leomon inverters?
Leomon's
line of power inverters is one of the most established outdoor units for new
homes. For this reason, we have created two indoor units that can make power
inverters a better investment for homeowners. We offer tanks for heating and
cooling as well as tanks that also heat domestic hot water. Indoor units with
outdoor units combine efficiency and reliability.
1.
Incredible efficiency and savings
With no
heater design, there is no power requirement for electric heaters. You'll enjoy
the same comfort without the need for more energy-intensive heating elements.
Combined with inverter technology, heat pumps provide significant efficiencies
and unmatched real savings. The use of inverter regulation allows the system to
operate at various output levels, rather than switching between on/off using a
standard heat pump.
2.
Flexible and Compatible
This
combination is suitable for floor, radiator and fan coil heating or cooling in
passive buildings or small apartments. The system can replace or complement
existing heating systems as it can also be used in combination with external
heat sources such as biomass, boilers or wood stoves.
3.
Optimize performance
The
performance of our indoor unit has been improved, but not at the expense of
compatibility - the original Mitsubishi Weather Compensation Control is
retained along with all functions. Switching between water and space heating is
automatic and sufficient capacity is ensured, so no storage tank is required.
4.
Continuous Availability
With our
tank you will get uninterrupted hot water up to 55°C as it uses a large surface
heat exchanger which heats the water faster due to its large heat transfer
surface.
5. Use
all season
By
heating and cooling, heat pumps can meet the year-round needs of passive houses
and small apartments. The outdoor unit can operate in temperatures as low as
-15°c.
Eco
Inverter Air Source Water Tank
1.
Feature-rich yet easy to use
The
multifunctional controller provides optimal management with programs such as
automatic anti-Legionella, floor drying, holiday mode and weekly timer. Web
control via the app is optional and includes efficiency monitoring. Two-zone
heating is also available.
2.
Reliable and durable
Due to
its larger condenser, invter heat pump units can operate in harsher conditions
longer than others, and Leomon outdoor units have a proven track record of
reliability in harsh conditions.
3.
Durable and easy to maintain
Easy to
maintain since all components are easily accessible. Heat pump water tanks also
have complete corrosion protection by using high quality enameled water tanks
with built-in MG anodes.
4. Quiet
and unobtrusive
Both
indoor and outdoor units are very quiet and compact. Using a 120lt Domestic Hot
Water Tank (DHW) with the tank also saves space, with two units taking up less
than 0.5 sqm
Retains
all original heat pump control functions: automatic defrost, automatic
switching between DHW and heating/cooling, automatic anti-Legionella program,
external heat source control, DHW and heating timer*, 2-zone control*, floor
drying function* , Monitor Consumed and Produced Energy (COP)*, Access via Web
and Mobile Apps*, Cascade Connected Masters*
Options
and Feature Upgrades
1.
Domestic hot water tank
The
water tank can be replaced with a 300 liter tank, enabling you to use the
system to heat domestic hot water. Alternatively, a 120-liter or 150-liter DHW
tank can be added to the tank, taking up very little space.
2.
Optional electric heater
For most
users, this upgrade is unnecessary and allows the use of electric heaters to
generate large amounts of hot water for sustained, intense use at temperatures
of 70° or higher and where backup may be required.
3.
Optional network control via app
The
original smart app allows you to measure the efficiency of the system (COP
monitoring) and control the system and programs (holiday mode, floor drying,
etc.) via PC, tablet and smartphone.
4.
Optional wireless thermostat
With the
optional wireless thermostat, you can manage your heat pump with greater
control and make remote adjustments.
Common Problem
1. How
much can I save on an Inverter air source heat pump (with water tank)?
Your
savings depend on many factors such as your local fuel costs, how much heating
you need and whether other systems are in place. Let's consider a small
apartment of 60 m², heated by LNG for 5 months per year, at a monthly cost of
250 euros and a yearly domestic hot water (DHW) cost of 40 euros per month
(total 1.730 euros). Installing a passive heat pump with a DHW tank can reduce
monthly heating costs to 40 euros and hot water costs to 8 euros. This would
save 1434 euros per year, which would amount to 35.850 euros over the 25-year
lifespan of the product, not even taking into account the potential increase in
gas costs. This real-world example achieved ROI in less than 3 years, with an
annual ROI of 33%.
2. What
kind of maintenance do I need to do and how much will it cost?
Our air
source and domestic hot water heat pumps are very easy to maintain and have
very low maintenance costs. Our units only need one annual express service and
we make sure everything works properly and efficiently.
3. Are
air source heat pumps only suitable for new buildings? Can they replace an
existing hot water system?
Depending
on insulation quality and other factors, Inverter heat pump solutions can be
used in small new buildings and apartments, passive houses and some older small
apartments. For older buildings, you will most likely want to consider our
range of air source heat pumps. These units can be used with floor heating,
radiators and fan coils, among others. Tanks can replace or upgrade existing
hot water facilities.
