2. What

3. How
long does the swimming pool heat pump run in a day?
Pool
heating systems will operate at different times depending on the size of the
pool and the units installed, time of year and location.
On a
warm sunny day in summer, when the pool reaches room temperature, the heat pump
may not need to run for more than 1-2 hours. But as cooler periods begin to
arrive, it may take up to 8-10 hours to run.
The heat
pump can run for up to 24 hours a day, but we recommend no more than 16 hours
as you should be able to get the desired temperature within 16 hours if the
unit you install is suitable for your specific pool conditions - some
days/weeks may Too cold and may take more hours to run.
4. How
long does the electric swimming pool heater take to heat the swimming pool?
The heat
pump can heat the pool even at temperatures as low as -15 degrees. Even if this
is the case, the heat pump extracts heat from the air, so the hotter the air,
the more efficient the heater.
It may
be more efficient to run the heat pump during the day when the ambient air is
warmer and more humid.
5. Does
winter reduce heat pump efficiency?
It does.
Pool heating systems draw heat from the surrounding air. When the temperature
is lower and there is less ambient heat available, the efficiency of the device
decreases.
We

winter.
6. What
is the Conference of the Parties?
COP is
the coefficient of performance. COP is the ratio of energy input to output. For
example, a unit with a COP of 10 will use approximately 8kW of electricity and
provide 80kW of heat (ie 10*8=80kW)
Heat
pumps bring you the most efficient electric pool heater systems with an average
COP of 10 and in some cases as high as 20. This means that for every unit of
energy the heater consumes, it produces 10 units of heat.
7. What
do "three-phase" and "single-phase" mean?
This is
the type of power the heat pump needs. Small pool heat pumps for residential
use are usually single-phase.
The heat
pump range is the highest single-phase heat pump on the market.
Larger
swimming pools, commercial swimming pools, or year-round swimming pool heating
system units may be three-phase models.
8. Where
should I put my electric pool heat pump?
Electric
pool heat pump units are weatherproof and designed to be used outdoors. They
are constructed of marine-grade aluminium alloy to withstand Australia's harsh
weather conditions including heavy rain and high winds.
9. If I
replace chlorine with salt, will it damage the pool heat pump?
All pool heat pumps are equipped with a titanium heat exchanger, which allows the heat pump to heat any type of water such as chlorine, salt and bromine most commonly found in the swimming pool industry. For extra peace of mind, we back our titanium heat exchangers with a 25-year warranty!
