Description
The
high-efficiency CO2 high temperature heat pump is an air-to-water heat pump
using CO2 gas as the refrigerant and can be used in a variety of sanitary hot
water supply applications. The CO2 high temperature heat pump is the world's
first two-stage compressor (combining rotary and scroll technology). It maintains
high efficiency and significantly improves performance in cold outdoor
temperatures.
The
design team at Leomon has introduced this innovative and unique air source heat
pump for maximum efficiency and minimum carbon footprint, all controlled via a comprehensive
touchscreen panel. Currently, with the increasing pressure to use low GWP
(Global Warming Potential) refrigerants, we see CO2 heat pumps as the way
forward in line with future regulations and market trends.
Systems
can be set up according to specific requirements, from a 30kW CO2 heat pump
unit providing 6,000 litres of hot water per day to 16 480kW heat pump units in
a modular configuration, connected to a large number of hot water storage
tanks. The touchscreen controller makes the system easy to operate, while the
user-friendly graphic display enables you to easily monitor hot water
production and availability.
How this
works:
The CO2
High Temperature Heat Pump is a heat pump using natural R744 (CO2) refrigerant
for high temperature domestic hot water production in residential, commercial,
tourist and industrial applications. With an outside temperature of -25°C, the
heat pump can heat and produce hot water up to 90°C.
The use
of R744 refrigerant gas (CO2) ensures a very low environmental impact. In fact,
it has a Global Warming Index (GWP) of 1 and an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP)
of 0.
Energy
saving: up to 78% more energy efficient than combustion boilers
Benefit:
1. It
can produce hot water up to 90°C without using an immersion electric heater.
2. Its
Monobloc unit with CO2 refrigerant has a Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (Zero
ODP) and a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 1.0, the lowest achievable.
3. With
an industry leading CoP (Coefficient of Performance) of 4.3, it is an ideal system
for meeting the hot water needs of commercial buildings such as hotels, nursing
homes and leisure centers.
4.
Provides sanitary hot water even in cold temperatures (65-90°C)
5.
Natural refrigerant (CO²)
6. No
reduction in output capacity from -7°C
7. 6
times more efficient than gas boilers
8. Up to
50% less carbon emissions compared to gas boilers
9. 5,000
to 100,000 liters/day configuration
10.
Easy-to-use touchscreen controller
11. Very
low operating noise
12.
Using a CO2 high temperature heat pump system can significantly reduce
operating costs and carbon emissions by 40% to 75%. It is suitable for
installation in new and existing buildings and does not require a heating
backup.
Did you
know that CO2 high temperature heat pumps are approved for Enhanced Capital
Allowance (ECA)?
The ECA
scheme is open to all businesses paying corporate or income tax, provided they
use equipment on the Energy Technology List.
Heat Pump
System
There
are three types of heat pumps: air-to-air, water source, and geothermal. They
collect heat from the air, water or ground outside your home and concentrate it
for indoor use.
1. Air
source heat pump
2.
Ground source heat pump
3. CO2
