Description
An air source heat pump is an energy efficient and economical way to
heat your spa. While we've seen the benefits of air source heat pumps for
heating homes, commercial spaces, or swimming pools, using them in spas can be
just as beneficial.
Heat pumps use much less energy than natural gas. While it may take the
same amount of time to heat water as electric or gas power, the process is more
efficient and economical.
How does a heat pump work?
Heat pumps heat water by extracting natural heat from the outside air. A
heat pump fan draws in air and directs it over evaporator coils that contain
advanced liquid refrigerant. Air becomes a gas, which is then compressed to add
heat. This hot gas passes through a heat exchanger, which transfers the heat
from the hot gas to the water and heats it.
Our air source heat pumps lead the industry with further advantages.
Heat pumps also feature active free cooling, which means they can also cool
water when needed in summer.
Here are some of the benefits of our heat pumps:
1. Save money on hot tub heating or spa heating
2. Can be heated to temperature within 2 hours - great for quick turns
3. Can be heated in and out of hot tubs and spas
4. Work all year round, outside temperature as low as -15 degrees
5. Self-adjustment and timer control
6. Hot tub can be installed or added later
